Saint Edward Catholic Parish, named for Edward the Confessor, was established in 1995 by Archbishop Edward McCarthy in one of his final acts before retirement. The church would become the first religious institution built west of Interstate 75 in Broward County. The community would grow rapidly from a few dozen parishioners to thousands in less than five years.
St. Bonaventure Catholic Parish

Established in 1985 when founding pastor Edmond Prendergast began inviting families to join the newly-created “parish family,” Saint Bonaventure grew rapidly.
St. Vincent Catholic Church

Established in 1960, Saint Vincent serves Margate area Catholics. The first Mass was celebrated under a donated tent, but within a year, parishioners had constructed a church. Later, parishioners erected a community center with eight classrooms and a large hall suitable for the parish’s educational, social, and fund-raising activities.
